Your information is used to verify your identity, show relevant listings near you, process bookings and payments, resolve disputes, and protect the community from fraud and theft. We do not sell your personal data to anyone.

Identity documents are stored securely and are only revealed to the other party in a rental if a dispute or incident report is raised. Under normal rentals, your ID number is masked and not shared with other members.

Your name, profile photo, city, and listings are visible to other members. Your phone number and ID details are only shared once you actively confirm a rental or if an incident is reported. Bank details are never shown to other members.

We use secure storage and access controls to protect your information. Payment processing is handled by trusted providers (such as PayFast) under their own security standards — we never store your full card details.

In cases of confirmed theft, fraud, or illegal activity, we may share relevant member information with South African law enforcement or affected parties to support investigations and protect the community.

You may update your profile information at any time. You may request deletion of your account and personal data, subject to resolving any open bookings, active disputes, or legal obligations. Contact HustleZA to make this request.

We use minimal cookies and analytics to understand how the platform is used and improve the experience. We do not use your data to build advertising profiles sold to third parties.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated within the app. Continued use of Rentaroo after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
